We sit at the bottom of the Great Orme, just beyond the tram station on Old Road. Walkers come down off the summit, families hop off the tram, and most of them end up on our front terrace with a pint, watching the next tram clatter past. Dogs are as welcome as their owners.
A traditional pub at the foot of the Great Orme, right beside the tramway terminus. Real ales on the hand pumps, wood-fired pizzas from the kitchen, and a big sunny terrace where the trams roll past the door.
Inside it is an old pub the way old pubs should be: low beams, dark timber, stained glass, flagstones by the bar and a proper fire in the chimney breast. Three real ales on the hand pumps, two from Greene King and one guest, plus cider and lagers alongside.

The kitchen does the lot. Sandwiches, wraps and chips at lunch, wood-fired pizzas, smarter plates in the evening, and a Sunday roast that people book back for. Add quiz nights and the odd DJ playing fifties and sixties records, and you have your afternoon sorted.

The terrace comes up again and again: a sunny spot with barrel tables where you can sit with a pint and watch the trams pull in and out of the station.
People stop in for a quick drink after the tram or a walk on the Orme, then end up staying for dinner. The roasts and the evening plates get singled out for being generous and genuinely good.
Friendly, speedy service is a constant, along with a proper traditional room and well-kept real ales, including a guest pump beside the Greene King regulars.
